Regular readers will be aware that I am a big supporter of the work done by J Todd who runs The Association of Players, Casinos and Webmasters (APCW), and that back in April J was kind enough to invite me to introduce the 4th May Perspectives Weekly.
Well God Bless him, he told me that next week will be the 1st year anniversary show and asked if I would like to make a short clip wishing them a happy 1st Anniversary. Of course I was honoured to have the chance, so I spent the afternoon trying to figure out how to make a clip with my web cam only to come up with some pretty poor quality footage (which I did send off to J Todd). When Lara (my wife) saw what I had done she said you must be able to do better than that and insisted on using our camcorder to make a clip in a more interesting setting. Like she said J always seems to be in interesting places when he makes his shows, so I should try to be a bit more interesting than a plain wall (which was the backdrop for my first clips).
After we filmed the two clips I had the fun of trying to get my computer to see the files and convert them into something I could use, after much messing about I finally figured it out. At the bottom of this post I have posted one of the clips I made, be sure to watch Perspectives Weekly next friday to see if J decided to add any of my footage and what.
I know he has a double length 20 minute show planned for next week so it should be a good one, I have watched every show since it started and find it very entertaining as well as being informative.
Just one more thing whilst I'm on the subject I noticed that the petition to Repeal Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act has now got 7450 signatures. So not far now before it reaches its target of 10,000. If you have not already signed it get over there and sign it now.
